Your Child's Magical Experience
What ages are best for a Fairytale Portrait Experience?
Our magical adventures are designed primarily for children ages 3–12, when they're able to participate in an interactive story guided by their very own Fairy Godmother or Adventure Guide.
Every child is unique! If your child falls outside this age range, or you'd like to include an older sibling, please get in touch with us before booking so we can discuss the best experience for your family.
Can siblings participate in the same session?
Absolutely! While each adventure is designed to make one child the star of their own story, up to two additional siblings may participate for $60 per child.
We'll create individual portraits of each child, along with a few special portraits together. Sessions accommodate a maximum of three siblings.
For cousins or friends, please get in touch with our studio about coordinating separate appointments with an opportunity for a few portraits together.
What is included in the Fairytale Portrait Experience?
We've thoughtfully designed every detail to make your child's adventure unforgettable—and your experience as effortless as possible.
Your experience includes a private, guided adventure in our Fairy Garden or Fishing Cabin, access to our curated wardrobe and accessories, approximately 8–10 portrait scenes or interactions, and the personal attention of our portrait team.
We reserve two hours exclusively for your family, including your child's adventure and a private same-day artwork presentation. Complimentary supervised play is provided for your child while you select your portraits.
What should my child wear or bring?
We've taken care of the details! Our studio provides beautiful costumes, accessories, and props selected specifically for your child's adventure, with wardrobe sizes ranging from toddler through child size 12.
Simply bring your child well-rested, happy, and ready for a little magic. We recommend scheduling around meals and naps when possible.
If you'd like to incorporate a special outfit or personal item, please discuss it with us before your appointment. We'll also send helpful preparation details before your visit.
What happens during our portrait appointment?
Your child's adventure begins with a warm welcome from their Fairy Godmother or Adventure Guide, who will lead them through an imaginative experience while our portrait artist captures the magic.
Immediately afterward, you'll enjoy a private presentation of your child's portraits in our viewing theater. We'll help you select your favorites and explore beautiful options for wall portraits, personalized StoryBooks, and other heirloom artwork.
Please plan for approximately two hours and ensure everyone involved in the artistic and financial decisions attends. Portraits are viewed and ordered during this same-day appointment rather than through an online gallery. Complimentary supervised play is available for your child during your presentation.
Can you accommodate children with different abilities or additional needs?
Of course! We warmly welcome children with a variety of abilities, personalities, and individual needs.
Our goal is to make every child feel comfortable, celebrated, and confident throughout their experience. Please share any sensory sensitivities, mobility considerations, communication preferences, or other accommodations with us before your appointment.
We'll work with you to determine how to make your child's adventure as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

What is the session fee, and does it include portraits?
Our Fairytale Portrait Experience is $500, which includes your child's private, guided adventure, use of our costumes and accessories, a professional portrait session, and personal same-day artwork presentation.
Because we specialize in creating custom fine art, finished portraits, StoryBooks, and albums are purchased separately.
There is no obligation to purchase artwork. You'll have the opportunity to view your child's portraits and choose the pieces you love during your private ordering appointment.
What types of artwork are available, and what is the investment?
We believe your child's portraits deserve to become something extraordinary—beautiful artwork you'll enjoy in your home today and treasure for generations.
Our collections include museum-quality wall portraits, custom mixed-media painted portraits, elegant gift prints, portrait folio boxes, and personalized StoryBooks where your child becomes the hero.
Gift prints begin at $500, wall portraits at $1,500, portrait folio boxes at $1,800, and personalized StoryBooks at $3,900.
Many families select a beautiful wall portrait along with a personalized StoryBook to preserve more of their child's adventure.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We believe meaningful artwork is worth investing in, and we offer interest-free payment plans for up to six months.
We also accept major credit cards, checks, and cash. Our team will explain available payment options and any applicable pay-in-full savings during your artwork presentation
Do you sell digital images?
Fairytale Child Portraits specializes in creating finished fine art rather than selling digital photography collections.
Our portraits are thoughtfully composed, artistically enhanced, and crafted into beautiful wall artwork and personalized StoryBooks designed to be enjoyed for generations—not simply stored on a phone or computer.
Qualifying artwork purchases may include a small digital image for personal social sharing, allowing you to share a little of the magic with family and friends.
How long does it take to receive our finished artwork?
Every portrait and StoryBook is custom-created with care and attention to detail.
Most finished artwork takes approximately eight weeks after your order is finalized and paid in full, depending on the artwork selected. Storybooks take up to 12 weeks.
We'll discuss expected completion and delivery arrangements during your ordering appointment so you know what to expect.
Scheduling & Reservations
Do you offer evening or weekend sessions?
Our magical portrait experiences are offered primarily on weekdays, with most appointments ending by 5:00 PM. Occasionally, a later weekday appointment may be available.
We find that children are often happiest and most engaged earlier in the day, so we encourage choosing a time when your child is well-rested and excited for their adventure.
Weekend appointments are not regularly available. Please contact our studio if you have special scheduling needs.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Because we accept a limited number of families and reserve our studio and team exclusively for each appointment, we ask for as much notice as possible if your plans change.
Appointments may generally be rescheduled without an additional fee when more than seven days' notice is provided. Changes within seven days, late arrivals, and missed appointments may be subject to additional fees. Permanently canceled appointments are nonrefundable under our current session booking policy.
